Monday

Just Another Manic Monday

Luck would have it that I have an interview today for which I am feeling mostly prepared but still have that nervous feeling floating around and making me feel like I'm dealing with a bad case of morning sickness, so I thought I'd write a post to take my mind off it.

The sun has been too good to us here in London with temperatures rising to highs of 28 degrees, so naturally we've all been in very, VERY, good moods. We've been dusting off our tiny dresses that barely get to see anything outside of our wardrobes, baring our legs and perfectly pedicured feet for the world (or just fellow Londoners) to see, rubbing ourselves silly with Hawaiian Tropic (which really does smell like summer in a bottle), and using any excuse to lie in the park all day, erryday.

Last week, Lana and I took an impromtu trip to Aragon House's beer garden for some Rekorderlig's. We gossiped, drank, laughed, drank, tanned, drank, got too hot sitting in the sun and realised there was no sea or pool to jump into to cool off so we did what any other sane person would do next.

We headed to sit in the cool and breezy outdoor seating of the fancy french cafe, Le Pain Quotidien to people-watch. As we were in the middle of Chelsea, (well Parson's green but it shares a SW6 postcode so it counts), we took fashion tips from some impeccably dressed Sloaney's and realised just how trendy the neighbourhood is.

After we'd done a fair bit of stalking, we got peckish and felt patriotically British so ordered their amazing freshly baked scones with clotted cream and jam. These are almost a bit too generously large and I could only eat half of it, (which rarely happens!). If you're going to order it, maybe get them to share because they're huge but very, very, good!

We washed these little dishes of summer perfection down with some of their very refreshing homemade raspberry lemonade's which complimented the scones perfectly.

We then bumped into our friend Ines, gossiped and ate a bit more (their risotto is out of this world!), before eventually making our way home in a summer and sun induced wistful daze.

One of the things we gossiped about most was Wireless festival which is happening this Friday and which we are TOO excited about. Last year, we got rained on whilst watching Example, Wiz Khalifa, Drake, Nicki Minaj, Professor Green and many more artists. Even though we were soaking wet and dripping into our Hunter boots, we still managed to find the whole experience a little too amazing for words.

This year the weather is guaranteed to be sunny and hot as hell so it's going to be a dream! We are going in a huge group and seeing Miguel, Frank Ocean, Snoop Dog, Wretch 32, John Legend, Justin Timberlake, and many many more! This literally is my dream line-up!

The day starts at 11 and probably won't end until the next morning so it's going to be a good one people!! Hope to see some of you there too to celebrate the official start of Summer '13! xoxo
