Indulgence

Last friday, I had to end my internship at The Daily Express's Fashion Department a week earlier due to stress, nausea, and a hiiigh pile of work-to-be-done anxiety. You would think that with all this free time I've been introduced to, I would have had time to write a post - this is clearly not the case. Since last friday, I have been too busy getting drunk, not cleaning my room, socialising, driving and attempting to cook to write a post. It has been serious fun times.

I really want to post some pictures up because with all this free time, a lot more thought goes into my "effortless" way of throwing things together. Unfortunately, a biatch that I know has temporarily stolen my camera. I don't even understand why she has stolen it to be honest, she has a camera of her own which takes better pictures than mine! What an ass.

Anyway, I thought it would be fun to go shopping on ASOS for some summery stuff for this years holiday/s. I don't know where I'm going as yet, or if it's going to be a girly holiday, or a cheese-fest couples one.. But I thought what the hell and bought some bright fun stuff anyway. I really can't wait until it's so hot it becomes morally correct to walk the streets naked! I have no shame.

2. Fairground bandeau coral dress
3. Asos heart print jersey skirt
4. Asos coral summer dress
5. Asos broken heart striped tee
6. Asos swallow chain necklace

... AND TO THINK I ONLY SPENT £80 ON EVERYTHING.. Asos is seriously my healthiest and favourite past-time. Now only for that little rat to give my camera back and then I can finally post outfit pictures up! Hang in there!

Tuesday

SUCKS.

I'm having the WORST day. Yes, it really is that bad. A couple more hours and then it'll all be over, but.. THEN THERE'S TOMORROW, AND THEN THE REST OF THE WEEK.. AND THEN THE BLOODY WEEK AFTER THAT ASWELL. Ugh. 8 long, dreary, unpaid days to go until FREEDOM!

I am so tired and depressed. This is the down side of interning, it sucks. You do the jobs no one else wants to do. And worst of all you do them for free.. How is this even a little pollitically correct?! It's not. It's UNETHICAL.

On top of this, I have no money. I don't really understand how this is possible seeing as I got sooo much for my birthday and hardly bought anything substantial with it. Although I did pay off my £500 credit card debt. So really I do understand how this is possible. Plus the fact that interning means I'm putting in my own money for travel and lunch, and all the eateries around my work area are fancy and expensive. And I pretty much fail in the kitchen so bringing in a packed lunch is not an option. Ugh! Bastard money running out and ruining my life. All I want to do is do rounds of tequilla shots all night and then be too busy being drunk to care about life. I believe my aim to behave like Gandhi has been shot to hell. Maybe I'll give it another 10 years to be like the legend, when I am calmer and my sister stops telling me I need anger management sessions.

In other news, I have an interview to intern for Stella McCartney's press office over the summer. It's another bloody unpaid internship but I'm thinking of working on the side just to pay off my very heavy debt (I have an addiction, I don't know what to say). Maybe I should just be positive and think that this will benefit me and my CV in the long run?

Another thing keeping me positive is this:

A look so cute I wouldn't mind finding myself in even more debt just so I can recreate the exact look on myself. Ugh, now I know why I'm in such debt in the first place. 2 words: EASILY PLEASED. And ladies, that really isn't always a good thing.

Hope you're all having a better start to the week than I am!

Classic

The Longchamp Le Pliage classic handbag in pink. Amazing no? It was my little birthday present to myself and I really do LOVE it. I love the colour because it's vibrant and new and everyone else has the classic black or brown and we all know I'm not everyone else ;-) I also love it because it's such a practical size! Most of all, I love the way the brown leather compliments the pink.. Such a nice contrast. I'm definitely going to be using mine everywhere!

CRAVES

1) 'Not Seen In Vogue' necklace? YES PLEASE. I hate when I see other people wearing stuff I own, thus I tend to shop in places less commercial.. But these days even little boutiques are being raided! So this necklace is precise in accuracy :-)
    2) Fur? Check. Grey sweatpant harems? Check. Zebra print heels? Check. Who the hell thought this combination could ever look good? But my god, it seriously does! It's so casual chic glam.. I LOVE IT! I feel it's too spring in the air to attempt to wear my fur out but maybe I'll re-do the whole look with a jersey blazer or jacket instead. All in all, this look is amazing!

    3) Short shorts and Alexander Wang studded bag.. I hate this biatch who basically stole my entire look (minus the fact that I don't own an Alexander Wang bag myself... For now...) But still, this look is so me! The heels just out-do the whole look even more and now I'm seriously craving!

    A Short Story

(All images from Coco and Zaahb)

Has anyone seen shorts like this currently on the UK high street? They're my newest obsession. I'm such a sucker for anything studded and anything frayed, thus these are the perfect pair of short shorts! Plus summer is on it's way here and I want to invest in things I can practically live in for the whole summer, so I'm sold! Definitely beginning the hunt for them asap, I'll keep you posted if I'm successful!

    Birthday Coma

Sorry for the incredible lack of posts, but I've been busy recovering from a prolonged birthday cake coma! It's been the best birthday week and I can't wait for next year now! Here are some fun pics of the celebrations:

    Grown Ups

Well the day finally came and now I can officially say I'm an adult.. 21 years old baby! Legal in like every country! I'm so psyched about my birthday, it was fabulousa. I went to the spa and got all glammed up, then my very lovely boyfriend took me out for a fabulous dinner. Clearly I'm saving all the drunken disasters for my party on saturday though ;-)

Anyway, all this 'growing-up' has left me feeling wiser and maturer, which most people will say is hardly believable! So today I started thinking more about my new flat and how I want to decorate my room to coincide with my personality and age, and here's some inspriation I'm using:

    (All images from Wehearit)

So here is my list of key things to keep in mind to get my new room looking fabulous:

    • A lot of light should be able to enter the room (more or less through windows!)
    • Nice furniture e.g. modern marble or oakwood to avoid clutter and chaos
    • A lovely and eclectic mix of cushions and sheets to decorate the bed
    • Wall-art
    • Fairy lights (non-tacky looking)
    • Nice curtains/blinds
    • Pretty lampshades
    • An interesting rug and throw for the bed
    • A sophisticated colour for the walls e.g. yolk or lilac. Or beautiful wallpaper!
    • Book shelf

Do you follow these guidelines too? If not, what are your suggestions?
